New Product Development
TO: Senior Director of
Engineering and Product Development
SUMMARY: Support the New
Program Development Group/Project Engineers via application of technical skills
including (but not limited to): system design and lay-up, fabrication,
materials identification, and process creation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIES:
Organize and maintain work environment capable
of supporting multiple and various projects;
Provide technical support to NPD engineers in
creation and fabrication of work product;
Coordinate materials handling activities with
pertinent suppliers and warehouse personnel;
Attend relevant internal and external technical
Supply data for new technology “briefings” for
internal and (when applicable) external presentations; and
From time to time, perform other pertinent tasks
as requested by immediate supervisor.
Experience in engineering/technical/manufacturing
workplace with an emphasis on demonstrable results.
Knowledge of composite materials/design;
Knowledge of ballistics, ballistic materials and
ballistic systems (optional/preferred);
Strong decision making skills;
Work well in diverse groups; and
Excellent organizational, technical and
Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions
consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards,
including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain reasonably
regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal,
state and local standards.

This position requires
use of and access to information which is subject to the International Traffic

all Product Development Technicians must be U.S. persons within the meaning of

This position also
requires that the employee be eligible for a government security clearance.
