Designer / Mechanical Engineer
Work as part of a growing team on exciting projects
involving new and updated designs. Work on vehicle upfit and additional
equipment planning and design. Will involve interacting with the electrical
engineering team that will bring step models of PCB’s into SOLIDWORKS to design
Create and/or revise current layouts, mechanical drawings,
assembly drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams using SOLIDWORKS. Will be
required to provide print drawings for production of sheet metal and machined
parts. Create drawings and rendering for presentation purposes.
Will require measuring and drawing real-life items and their
creation within SOLIDWORKS. Rendering and visualization to be done in KeyShot.
Experience with 3d printing is a plus. Photoshop, Illustrator experience is a
Assist in new product development working with concepts,
sketches, markups, etc. to create drawings, bill of materials, items masters,
and other documentation necessary for manufacturing of product.
Participate as a team member, or individually, to design,
layout, test sheet metal parts, brackets, enclosures and other assemblies for
new and existing products.
Create and or revise current drawings,
schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly documentation for manufacturing
Optimize models for both 3d printing and
Prepare drawings for CNC for mass production.
Create production flat drawings for our
Gather information for drawings.
Assist with the resolution of mechanical
problems encountered in production and in the field.
Physically assemble prototypes and production
units as required.
Other duties as required or assigned by company
A.A.S. degree Design/Drafting Engineering or Computer Aided
Drafting and Design (CADD) preferred. Relevant experience and industry
recognition will be considered.
Three (3) years of demonstrated design experience in SOLIDWORKS
Design pertaining to 3-D conceptual design, sheet metal and enclosure design
for manufacturing. 1+ years of experience with SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD Software
required; Electrical knowledge is a plus.
Candidates should be prepared to provide example projects, drawings and
samples, as well as perform an on-site skills test.
