Job Description


The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for supervising Quality Assurance inspectors, auditors and data entry clerks on daily day to day operations. Assigns and reassigns staff to provide maximum quality assurance support.

Essential duties and accountabilities

1.      Supervises Quality assurance inspectors, auditors, and data entry clerks in their daily assigned duties.

2.      Assigns and reassigns staff to provide maximum quality assurance support.

3.      Monitors the accuracy and competence of quality personnel.

4.      Conducts and writes personnel performance reviews and initiates disciplinary actions as required.

5.      Supports ISO Quality System efforts with training, leading and coordinating the operation and maintenance of the Point Blank Quality Management System. 

6.      Reviews defect data charts, (6) six Week Dashboard information, and Key Performance measurable data to identify quality trends and implement quality assurance/ corrective action initiatives.

7.      Alerts upper management when calibrations are required.

8.      Oversees accuracy of quality documents, and communicates defect data to manufacturing management.

9.      Monitors daily, weekly and monthly defect and Level (2) two Key Performance Measureable Charts

10.  Maintains ISO Compliance in quality control respective area.

11.  Leads continuous improvement and cost savings/cost avoidance projects.

12.  Supports other areas when required such as Engineering and Testing.

13.  Performs additional duties as necessary and as required.

§  High School Diploma or its equivalent experience or Associate Degree with equivalent experience.

§  (1) one to (2) two year experience of automated sewing, patterns layout, basic knowledge of sewing, and agamid material ballistics assembly.

§  Minimum 2 years supervisory or equivalent experience desired.

§  (2) two to 3 three years of experience in a related field.

§  Prior Supervisory abilities.

§  Must be able to read and write English.

§  Bilingual English-Spanish or English-Creole preferred.

§  Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function for this position.

§  Works requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.

§  Knowledge of office processes, procedures, and technology.

§  Must be authorized to work in the USA.

physical demands

Sitting for long periods. Dexterity and coordination to handle files and single pieces of paper; occasional lifting of items weighing up to (25) twenty-five pounds such as files, stacks of paper, reference and other materials. Moving from place to place within the office; minimum reaching for items above and below desk level. Strength, dexterity, coordination and vision to use keyboard and video display terminal for prolonged periods.
