Cutting Supervisor (Night Shift)

Job Description

Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all cutting material meets production quality standards. This person also ensures the Gerber Operators and Spreaders meet production goals and objectives.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities

1.      Responsible for maintaining cutting material product and ensuring quality work is completed timely and effectively.

2.      Ensures required material is cut to specification to effectively meet production schedule.

3.      Verifies cutter and spreader document in progress workflow.

4.      Works closely with the Master Scheduler regarding cutting schedule objectives.

5.      Supervises and develops Geber Operators and Spreaders to ensure consistency and accuracy of cutting and spreading.

6.      Communicates with the Warehouse Department daily to pull required material for cutting.

7.      Communicates with the Gerber Technicians to confirm spreading and cutting machines are in accordance to required cutting specifications.

8.      Reviews and checks the Cutters and Spreader work to ensure conformance cutting safety standards.

9.      Schedules PM Maintenance.

10.  Responsible for working according to the company’s safety and quality standards.

11.  Maintains a safe and clean work area.

12.  Performs other related duties as required and or as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Minimum two (2) to five (5) years of experience in a related role or in an apparel manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to use computer software and applications.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function for this position.

§  Ability to understand basic work and safety instructions in English.
