The NYPD Lead Fitter/ Customer Service is responsible for measuring,
fitting, and processing returns for the agency.
This is a defined territory. This person is also responsible for
instructing and training NYPD recruits and in-service officers on company
products and communicating and assisting the NYPD Ballistic Vest Unit.
Essential Duties and
Accountabilities:
§ Responsible for measuring and fitting
NYPD recruits and in-service officers
§ Conduct presentations of the company
products to the NYPD recruits and in-service officers
§ Communicates effectively with
customers, end-users, and other employees
§ Generates interest and promotes company
products to NYPD in the defined territory
§ Communicates directly with customer
to obtain statuses on open RMAs and items pending returns
§ Enters orders for alterations and
remakes
§ Works closely with the production supervisor
to ensure all daily production and tasks are completed
§ Maintains working knowledge of
competitor products and markets in the defined territory
§ Completes all required reports such
as travel requests and expenses and submits in a timely manner
§ Responsible for company product
samples and inventory
§ Position will also assist with order
entry in customer service, when not dealing with NYPD.

§ High School Diploma or its equivalent
§ Must be able to communicate fluently
in the defined territory

§ Basic understanding of Microsoft
Office Software

§ Requires a valid state Driver’s

§ Complete understanding of the NIJ
Body Armor standards
§ Regular and predictable attendance is
an essential function for this position
§ Must read, write and speak fluent

Physical Demands and Working
Conditions
§ Requires standing for a prolonged
period of time
§ Requires occasional lifting up to 25
lbs.

above and below desk level

vision to use keyboard and video display terminal for prolonged periods
§ Requires dexterity and coordination
to handle files, boxes, vests, and shields up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
§ Requires traveling 50% of the time.
