Team Leader- Incoming Inspection

Summary

The Incoming Inspection Team Leader is responsible for demonstrating leadership skills within their assigned area. Also, works to ensure all daily production goals are accomplished.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities

1.      Responsible for assisting with daily production goals and ensuring department production is complete timely and effectively.

2.      Responsible for inspecting finished goods received from production

3.      Inspects dimensional, color, pattern match, and craft workmanship of all final production products.

4.      Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

5.      Works closely with the Quality Supervisor to assist and ensure employees follow company policies and health and safety guidelines.

6.      Interprets specifications and job orders to workers and assigns duties.

7.      Knowledgeable in all areas of the QA Department including, but not limited to: Incoming, Cutting (Spreading, Layup, Area of Coverage), In Process Inspection (Ballistic In-Line, Ballistic After Tacking, Ballistic Insert, Ballistic Panel Final, Carrier/Yoke Inspection), and the Final Audit Process.

8.      Backup person when the supervisor is absent.

9.      Creates electronic NCRs for all Subcontractors and communicates with Purchasing, Operations and Quality to obtain final disposition for non-conforming goods from the Subcontractors.

10.  Manages any in-house repairs of Subcontractor work and or sends back to Suppliers.

11.  Diligently attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks.

12.  Maintains a safe and clean work area.

13.  Performs other related duties as required and or as assigned.

Qualifications

§  High School Diploma and or its equivalent.

§  Able to understand basic work and safety instructions in English.

§  Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function for this position.

§  Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 or later, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

§  Quality Team Leader Level 1 experience.

§  Must be authorized to work in the USA.
