Summary

The Marker Room Supervisor is responsible for the leadership and management of translating designs from drawing to manufacturing final product. This person is also responsible for managing the marker making process.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities

1.      Supervises, instructs and trains marker makers in the use of computerized marker making system.

2.      Manages the marker making process and provides feedback to Master Scheduler.

3.      Supervises and develops Marker Makers to ensure consistency and accuracy of markers.

4.      Supervises and instructs the Plotter Operator.

5.      Ensures a high degree of customer satisfaction by developing and understanding customer expectations.

6.      Coordinates and manages required staff duties to meet production goals.

7.      Develops standards for marker making and monitors the maintenance of the patter library for current product specifications.

8.      Works closely with the Master Scheduler regarding schedule objectives.

9.      Works closely with the Quality Assurance Manager and the Cutting Supervisor to maintain high levels of product quality.

10.  Reviews the accuracy of the work of others for conformance to marker safety standards.

11.  Responsible for working according to the company’s safety and quality standards.

12.  Maintains a safe and clean work area.

13.  Performs other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in a related role or in an apparel manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in understanding the Gerber Accumark System.
  • Ability to use computer software and applications.

§  Ability to understand basic work and safety instructions in English.

  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function for this position.
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

§  Requires sitting or standing for a prolonged period of time.

§  Requires bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

§  Requires walking and moving in narrow spaces for a prolonged period of time.
