Job Description

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for maintaining receipts, storage, transfers, and dispatching raw material for production. This person will assist the warehouse manager with daily warehouse operations, such as receiving and shipping, products/supplies. Also, maintain and update all inventory system information to ensure accuracy.

Essential duties and accountabilities

  1. Responsible for maintaining receipts, storage, transfers, and dispatching   material for production.
  2. Retrieves and stages orders for shipment.
  3. Examines and inspects stock items for wear or defects and report damages to supervisors.
  4. Verifies and maintains records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
  5. Maintains records regarding use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
  6. Performs inventory transfers using inventory control system.
  7. Maintains and update all inventory system information to ensure accuracy
  8. Ensures First in First out (FIFO) is followed for all transactions and conducts regular cycle counts
  9. Monitors equipment and or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
  10. Verifies inventory by conducting cycle counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies.
  11. Performs domestic and international shipping activities.
  12. Operates electrical powered industrial forklift to transport inventory, unload incoming stock and load outgoing orders.
  13. Packages and stocks finished goods items.
  14. Works close with Customer Service, Technical Service and delivery personnel.
  15. Responsible for working according to the company’s safety and quality standards.
  16. Maintains a safe and clean work area.
  17. Performs additional duties as necessary and as required

QUALIFICATION:

§  High School Diploma or its equivalent.

  • License to operate forklift from a certified agency preferred.
  • 0-1 year inventory or warehouse work experience.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Experience in inventory control and warehouse activities.
  • Multi courier shipping system data entry and reporting experience.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function for this position
  • Must read, write, and understand Basic English.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team working ability.
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA

physical demands

§  Ability to sit or stand for prolonged period of time, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and occasionally lifting up to 50lbs.

§  Requires repetitive movements with fingers, hands and arms.

§  The ability to use of ladders to reach high warehouse shelves.

§  Must be able to work in a warehouse under high temperatures and dusty environments.
