Job Description

Position Summary: Support compliance of internal and government contract management.  Track, report and control costs associated with contracts in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

 

  • Understand and verify contract requirements, deliverables and milestones;
  • Verify that all costs and documentation are recorded related to each contract and accumulated and invoiced as appropriate;
  • Manage all projects in the computer system;
  • Validate all labor reporting for government contracts;
  • Accumulate data and file annual government Incurred Cost Submissions (ICE);
  • Support special projects as necessary;

 

Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications/requirements: The successful candidate will require a working knowledge of government contract accounting standards and practices. They will require a strong working knowledge of relevant software (e.g., MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project). They will need to exhibit strong leadership and decision-making skills, and the ability to operate under pressure. They must have strong decision making skills, work well in diverse groups, and exhibit excellent organizational, technical and communication (oral and written) skills in the English language.   the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, standards, and specification is an added benefit, however, not required for this role..

 

OTHER Qualifications/requirements: Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards.

 

May be required to work daily overtime and occasional weekends.

Work is usually performed in an office setting.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, unless otherwise noted by safety signage.

Education/Training/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Engineering, Accounting or Management or other related field. Five years direct work experience in project/program management capacity preferred; two years of direct experience in project/program support required. Experience should include estimating resources needed to achieve project goals, developing / managing schedules, budget development and cost accounting.
