Summary
The Controller is
responsible for providing leadership and coordination of the Company’s
accounting and financial operations. This includes the production of periodic
financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, a
comprehensive set of controls and budgets such as policies and procedures,
designs to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the Company’s reported financial
results, and ensure reported results comply with generally accepted accounting
principles.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities
1. Monitors and analyzes
monthly operating results against forecast/budget.
2. Works with division
presidents/managers to review monthly operating results.
3. Oversees daily operations
of the accounting department.
4. Ensures compliance with
local, state and federal reporting requirements.
5. Establishes and
implements short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies and
operating procedures.
6. Designs, establishes and
maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish
the department's goals and objectives.
7. Oversees financial
management of newly acquired or formed operations to include integration and
developing financial policies and procedures.
8. Manages the annual
financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
9. Manages the various
periodic state and federal tax returns as well as the filing of all required
annual reports.
10. Assists CFO with
financial affairs of the organization and with preparation of financial
analyses of operations such as interim and financial statements with supporting
schedules.
11. Responsible for working
according to the company’s safety and quality standards.
12. Maintains a safe work
area.
13. Performs other related
duties as required and as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial or Business
Administration.

Minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in all aspects
of accounting in a manufacturing companies
·
Proven supervisory experience.
·
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical and problem
solving skills.
·
Must speak write and understand Basic English.
·
Able to communicate effectively (verbally and written) with all
levels of management.
·
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function for
this position
·
Proficient with Microsoft Office Software such as Excel, Word,
Access and PowerPoint software.
·
Must be authorized to work in the USA.
·
Bonus: CMA certification.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
·
Requires sitting for a prolonged period of time.
·
Requires dexterity and coordination to handle files and boxes up
to 25 lbs. unassisted.
·
Requires minimum reaching for items above and below desk level.
·
Requires strength, coordination and vision to use keyboard and
video display terminal for prolonged periods.
