SUMMARY: The Process Engineer is responsible for working with Program
Management, New Product Development, Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and
Quality Control for the design, fabrication, modification, analysis and
evaluation of manufacturing processes in support of manufacturing operations.
The Process Engineer shall be assigned to
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Ø Implement and Evaluate manufacturing
processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly,
tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting
observations from operators;
Ø Define, improve, and optimize
composites processing and advanced materials interactions such as bonding and
Ø Participate in new production line
design and processes;
Ø Problem-solve real time manufacturing
issues and nonconformances related to materials, process, inspection, tooling,
Ø Investigate root causes of failures
to maintain quality of product;
Evaluate potential improvements and problem
solving for manufacturing issues (production methods and procedures) in a
specific areas (including layout, production flow, tooling and production
equipment, material fabrication, and assembly methods).
Ø Improve manufacturing efficiency by
analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout;
Ø Identify requirements for Quality
Control Equipment, Tools, & Fixtures;
Ø Identify inspection tools and
templates required for production process;
Ø Evaluate and recommend new
equipment/tools to existing/new technologies or enhancements to current
Ø Provide training support to
manufacturing department on assemblies and other complex work activities, as
Ø Conduct Process Training; and
Ø Participate in design reviews.
