SUMMARY

The Subcontractor Coordinator is responsible for maintaining records, monitor raw materials levels at their facilities, and ensure their production meets our schedule demands.  Updates status information of work outsourced, material flow, and of the shipping and receipts of the goods.  Maintains and update all system information to ensure its accuracy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.      Responsible for sending raw materials to subcontracting facilities in a timely fashion manner so they can meet schedule demands.

a.       Coordinate with Supply Chain, Production, and Warehouse departments to ensure the raw materials deliveries to the subcontractors are met.

2.      Coordinate with the Marker Room, and Cutting departments to provide the subcontractors the support needed.

3.      Ensures subcontractor work remains on schedule and coordinates with internal production goals and timelines.

a.       Maintaining daily communication with subcontractors to curtail any possible production issues.

b.      Regularly communicates with production floor regarding subcontractor timelines.

c.       Requesting the shipment of work from subcontracting facilities to coincide with internal scheduling requirements.

d.      Monitoring receipts from subcontractors; ensuring timely delivery based on production schedules.

e.       Maintaining internal spreadsheets to track work orders at subcontracting facilities; notifying key personnel of the progress and expected delivery dates.

4.      Complete purchase requisitions in ORACLE for all the subcontracted work.

5.      Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments.

6.      Responsible for working according to the company’s safety and quality standards.

7.      Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

    High School Diploma or its equivalent. Must have general knowledge of core products, an understanding of production flow, and an understanding of how ballistics/outer shells are constructed and sewn.  Must have a comprehensive knowledge of quality standards. Must have general office skills such as writing correspondence, filing, e-mailing, scanning, and faxing. Effective communication skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

    ·         Must speak, read, write, and understand English.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    ·         Ability to stand for prolonged period of time, bending, pushing, pulling, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.

    ·         Requires repetitive movements with fingers, hands and arms.

      Requires sitting for long periods.

      ·         Coordination and vision to use keyboard and video display terminal for prolonged periods.
