PBE- Junior Range Technician (Pompano Beach, FL)

Job Description


Perform ballistic testing pertaining to both research and development and quality control.


Ballistic Range

1.       Perform ballistic testing and document the tests reports per given standards.

2.       Understand basic ballistic specifications and Government ballistic standards.

3.       Ensure all data recorded on the test report is accurate to the sample tested.

4.       Maintain ammunition/Firearms Inventory and Reports up to date.

5.       Maintain data summaries up to date.

6.       Ensure range inventory levels are communicated to the R&D supervisor.

7.       Follow safety regulation defined in our ISO and range SOP.

8.       Support R&D Engineers, Quality and Sales force.

9.       Material Lot testing of all ballistic raw materials.

10.    Communication of ballistic test results and record keeping.

11.    End item testing for PBE Military Contracts.

12.    Randomly select production samples to perform submersion testing and communicate testing outcome.

13.    Adapt to changes in work and priorities.

14.    Must be able to maintain confidentiality of on-going projects.

15.    Perform Lot / R&D test for Helmets.

·         Associate degree or 2 years of experience in a related field.

·         Requires good knowledge of product requirements associated with ballistics.

·         Ability to understand and work according to specific Ballistics Testing Standards.

·         Basic knowledge of standard laboratory practices.

·         Intermediate to strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

·         Ability to review and analyze ballistics data and test samples.

·         Capable of working as part of a team.

·         Must be authorized to work in the US.


·         Requires sitting or standing for a long period of time.

·         Requires moderate physical effort such as walking through-out the building to collect samples.

·         The ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
