POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for support of HR & QMS administrative activities. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1.       Supports recruitment process working directly with temporary staffing agencies and candidates;

2.       Coordinates interview process

3.       Supports new hire orientation process conducting on-boarding training sessions for temporary hires;

4.       Supports the worker’s compensation process:

5.       Tracks open cases;

6.       Interfaces with worker’s compensation carrier;

7.       Supports injured worker’s questions and concerns, and arrangements for medical appointment follow-ups; and

8.       Completes wage statements for worker’s compensation claims.

9.       Responsible as the Labor Module Coordinator regarding time-keeping system of all employees.  Duties include but not limited to:

10.   Training of new hires on using the time-keeping system.

11.   Ensuring all hours and project codes are entered in a timely manner.

12.   Filling out appropriate documentation for missed hours/project codes.

13.   Generating and distributing reports regarding weekly hour totals to managers across all disciplines.

14.   Responsible for receiving, entering and tracking all training records.

15.   Performs employment verification activities;

16.   Coordinates Safety Program  & Quality Control Medical Evaluations;

·          Respirator Exams

·          Audiograms

·          Vision Exams

17.   Responsible for supporting Human Resources Manager with employee relations.

18.   Provides ATO support;

19.   Reviews benefits information and answers benefit-related questions with employees;

20.   Supports the resolution of employee grievances and concerns.

21.   Participates as needed in special department projects.

22.   Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS-REQUIREMENTS:

·       Must be fluent and be able to read and write in the English language. Bilingual is a plus in Spanish. Strong oral communication skills are also required. Employee needs to be proficient in MS Office. Employee must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills.

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

·       Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards.

·       Compliance with all personnel policies.

·       This position requires use of and access to information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).  Accordingly, all HR Assistants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.  ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Temporary Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee.

 

EDUCATION-TRAINING-EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma preferred. At least one year of relevant work experience in an HR-related function required.
