Job Description

Summary

The BOM (Bill of Material) Coordinator is responsible for creating, modifying and maintaining product codes and bills of materials for body armor products. This person will convert data received from various departments into the required format for entry/scanning into the ERP system.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities 

1.       Prepares codes and BOMs for products based upon data received from Engineering, Purchasing,  Sales, Marketing, Marker Room, Contracts and others.

2.       Creates additional color and fabric codes by processing CFAR’s.

3.       Coordinates with the Engineering Support Supervisor, Designers and other team members by identifying data required and informing them of missing data needed to complete projects.

4.       Maintains records for ongoing projects and provides progress reports as requested.

5.       Reviews new code and BOMs to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to release.

6.       Creates, maintains and modifies product release forms and manages the storage of the forms.

7.       Completes projects based on priorities set by the Engineering Support Supervisor.

8.       Diligently attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks.

9.       Responsible for working according to the company’s safety and quality standards.

10.   Maintains a safe and clean work area.

11.   Performs other related duties as required and as assigned.

 Qualifications

·       Minimum High School Diploma or its equivalent.

·       Minimum one (1) year of work experience.

·       Proficient with Microsoft Excel.

·       Strong analytical and planning skills

·       Must read, write and understand Basic English.

·       Must be authorized to work in the USA.

·       Bonus: Knowledge of body armor products, Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.

·       Bonus: Basic Knowledge of Photo shop

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

·       Requires sitting for a prolonged period of time.

·       Requires dexterity and coordination to handle files and single pieces of paper.

·       Requires occasional lifting of files, stacks of paper, reference and other materials up to 25 lbs.

·       Requires minimum reaching for items above and below desk level.

·       Moving from place to place within the office to accomplish tasks.

·       Requires strength, coordination and vision to use keyboard and video display terminal for prolonged periods.
