Job Description


Responsible for technical support of desktop/laptop hardware & software applications, phone system, printers and related systems and software to support the organization’s needs.  Also responsible for network infrastructure and server room including servers, network hardware, for Point Blank facilities.  Monitors performance and capacity of systems and implements modifications and upgrades as required.   


  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience 
  • Experience managing 100 plus servers
  • Minimum of four years of experience administering Windows based systems including: Server 2008, Server 2012, Server 2016 and Server 2019
  • Hands-on security systems management and support for MFA, Next Gen AV, email gateways, firewall administration, network access control and other systems
  • Technical certifications:  MCP, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA or A+ certifications.
  • Supports all transmission/transport mediums (VPNs, dedicated circuits, broadband, etc.) and works with public carriers and other circuit providers to deliver network services
  • Network administration including backups, security management, user account management, email systems, and internet access
  • Provides end-user support for laptop/desktop hardware and software and printers
  • Implement and support the network and computing infrastructure plan
  • Supports voice communications
  • Provides network support by researching, analyzing and resolving associated problems
  • Performs technical related tasks for projects including software, equipment and facilities
  • Provides training of end users on systems and applications
  • Performs administrative functions on all network systems as needed for implementation, support and maintenance
  • Assists management with IT solutions that ensure target objectives
  • Works with manager to engineer IT solutions for various project and operational needs
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible threats or intrusions
  • Configure firewall software to accommodate PBE’s requirements
  • Apply OS patches on a monthly basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities as necessary
  • Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment
  • Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
  • Initiates and implements improvements in all areas of IT responsibility
  • Ensures company assets and software licensing are maintained and used responsibly
  • Be able to manage vendors on projects as required
  • Report for work regularly and on time, as scheduled
  • Work well under pressure, organize and prioritize work assignments and meet established deadlines
  • Be flexible, handling changes as work requirements are revised


  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Position requires on call status for non-work hour IT emergencies


This position has the potential for supervisory responsibility as organization grows.  This currently includes supervising part time help.
