SUMMARY
The Receiving Incoming Specialist performs the
inspection of products and materials arriving from Suppliers and Subcontractors.
This person will analyze using critical-to-quality features which include
dimensional, color and pattern match and workmanship analysis. Each inspection will result in the
disposition and identification of all incoming products and materials.
DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Responsible for
the conducting inspections of all raw materials that are received.
· Responsible for
making sure that all materials are received with packing list, CoC’s, and test
reports if applicable.
· Coordinates raw
material ballistic testing on non-approved ballistic materials.
· Verifies all
ballistic material is labeled with the appropriate approval.
· Responsible for
the approval of all raw materials in the Vision system for production use.
· Responsible for
taking samples of raw fabric material for color matching and width.
· Responsible for
receiving and reviewing of all Commercial & Military products from the
warehouse.
· Maintains a
database of all inspection results pertaining to raw material, commercial and military
products that have been inspected.
· Coordinates the returns
of all rejected products back to the correct supplier for corrections noted.
· Will be expected
to cross train in other competencies.
· Oversee the staff
in the receiving inspection area.
· Responsible for
measuring and recording Warehouse temperatures for BA9000.
· Diligently attends
to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks.
· Responsible for
working according to the company’s safety and quality standards.
· Maintains a safe
and clean work area.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School
Diploma or its equivalent. Must have
general knowledge of core products, an understanding of production flow,
and an understanding of how ballistics/outer shells are constructed and
sewn. Must have
general office skills such as writing correspondence, filing, e-mailing,
scanning, and faxing. Proficient
with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint. Multi courier
shipping system data entry and reporting experience. Regular and
predictable attendance is an essential function for this position. Able to
understand basic work and safety instructions in English. Must be authorized to work in the USA.
PHYSCIAL DEMAND:
Sitting and
standing for long periods. Dexterity and coordination to handle files and
single pieces of paper; lifting of items weighing up to fifty pounds such as boxes,
files, stacks of paper, reference and other materials. Moving from place to
place within the office. Strength, dexterity, coordination and vision to use
keyboard and video display terminal for prolonged periods.
