Summary
The Senior Vice President of U.S. Military Business
Development is responsible for locating new opportunities for the Company by
visiting existing and new customers. This person will have direct contact with
people of all levels both internally and external and works with military
procurement and contract management.
Essential Duties and
Accountabilities
1.
Responsible for locating new opportunities for the
Company by visiting existing and new customers.
2.
Communicates with associates of all levels both
internally and external and works with customer’s procurement and engineering
groups.
3. Responsive
to the customer’s needs and follows through on all aspects of requests, both
written and verbal.
4. Works
closely with the Business Unit Managers when responding to a Request for
Proposal (RFP) to inform them of market conditions, pricing issues and the
current competition on the program.
5. Conducts
presentations to various groups within the customer’s organization when needed.
6. Prepares
written proposals in response to customer’s RFP, coordinates all information
from the different disciplines and arranges the formal response.
7.
Oversees the contract & sub contract
management proposal and military sales team.
8. Acts
as technical representative to the customer during the initial contact.
9. Attends
trade shows along with different conferences both educational and customer
oriented.
Responsible for working according to the company’s safety
and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Seven (7) to ten (10)
years of experience in Body Armor Industrial markets.
- Bachelor’s Degree or its
equivalent training.
- Minimum five (5) years of senior
management experience.
- Excellent
written communication skills.
- Must be a proficient
communicator and listener.
- Must have excellent
relationship-building skills.
- Computer literate, high
level of accuracy and detail oriented.
- Must be able to handle
multiple functions at the same time and maintain good organizational
skills.
- Regular and predictable
attendance is an essential function for this position.
- Must be a U.S. persons and
authorized to work in the USA.

Working Conditions
- Requires sitting or
standing for a prolonged period of time.
- Requires dexterity and
coordination to handle files, boxes and materials.
- Requires minimum reaching
for items above and below desk level.
- Requires strength,
coordination and vision to use keyboard and video display terminal for
prolonged periods.
- Requires walking, bending,
stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
- Requires repetitive
movements with fingers, hands, wrist, and arms.
- Requires traveling domestically
and internationally.
