PBE - BOM Coordinator

The BOM Coordinator is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining Product codes and Bills of Materials for body armor products. This person will convert data received from various departments into the required format for entry/scanning into our ERP system.

The BOM Coordinator is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining Product codes and Bills of Materials for body armor products. This person will convert data received from various departments into the required format for entry/scanning into our ERP system.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities

1.   Prepares Codes and BOMs for products based upon data received from engineering, purchasing, sales, marketing, marker room, contracts, and others

2.   Creates additional color and fabric codes by processing CFAR’s.

3.   Process and complete ECR’s, SERF’s, New Raw Material Codes, Ballistics Package, Reactivation, Deactivations, AX and Experlogics assigned tasks, including BOMs, Part Config and Attributes.

4.    Responsible to request costing

5.    In coordination with the Engineering Support Supervisor, Designers, and other team members, identify data required and inform of missing data needed to complete projects. 

6.    Maintains records for ongoing projects and provide progress reports as requested.    

7.    Reviews new Codes and BOMs to ensure they are complete and accurate prior to releasing them. 

8.    Create, maintain, and modify product release forms and manage the storage of the forms.

9.   Work on and keep track of multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and deadlines, as assigned and prioritized by Supervisor.

10.  Responsible for working according to the company’s safety and quality standards.

11.  Maintains a safe and clean work area.

12.   Performs other related duties as required and or as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of High School Diploma or its Equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of (1) one year work experience.
  • Must be pro-efficient with MS Excel and other basic computer skills. Experience in Jesta application is a plus.
  • Must have analytical and planning skills sufficient to determine resources and time required to complete projects.
  • Must be able to respond accurately to requests in a timely manner.
  • Must read, write and understand Basic English.
  • Must have attention to detail, and ability to review work for any discrepancies.
  • Must contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA.
  • Knowledge of body armor products and sufficient to maintain records and prepare reports a plus
Physical Demands

Sitting for long periods. Dexterity and coordination to handle files and single pieces of paper; occasional lifting of items weighing up to (25) twenty-five pounds such as files, stacks of paper, reference and other materials. Moving from place to place within the office; minimum reaching for items above and below desk level. Strength, dexterity, coordination and vision to use keyboard and video display terminal for prolonged periods
