The Materials & Purchasing Coordinator for ATG will be responsible for helping to achieve business unit goals. Responsibilities shall include inventory counting and control, accounting system data entry, vendor management and follow up, staff productivity tracking & reporting, scheduling efficiencies and the oversight of production performance and downtime. ATG is a high technology business unit, and its inventory and products are technology focused. Experience in technology focused production preferred.

Job summary

The Materials & Purchasing Coordinator for ATG will be responsible for helping to achieve business unit goals. Responsibilities shall include inventory counting and control, accounting system data entry, vendor management and follow up, staff productivity tracking & reporting, scheduling efficiencies and the oversight of production performance and downtime.

ATG is a high technology business unit, and its inventory and products are technology focused. Experience in technology focused production preferred. 

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for managing high technology inventory, receiving, and documenting material consumption, labor tracking and production activities to produce products that meet established quality, customer service, safety, innovation, and cost metrics consistent with schedules and policies.
  • Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
  • Participate in daily meetings with team leaders and key staff, as well reports to management on project timelines and goals. Responsible for material and work order data management in company systems.
  • Adherence and enforcement of all Corporate Safety policies and procedures Ability to own, lead and develop overall division, its staff, and its activities.
  • Assist production and inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage.
  • Assist in the production planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts.
  • Maintain inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines.
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of the perpetual inventory system.
  • Works closely with purchasing department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Coordinate shipping of finished goods.
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce transportation costs and charges.
  • Manage vendor relationships and enhance supply chain diversity and working capital management

Requirements

  • Associates degree or higher in Business Administration or related field required.
  • Must have at least 2 years of supervisory or similar experience or equivalent combination of education/work experience in a production and/or surveillance industry.
  • Excellent people skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.
  • Proficient with inventory reporting systems.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, strong Microsoft Excel, and other computer skills, be initiative-taking, safety conscious, detail oriented, able to multi-task, ambitious, and have a leader and coaching mentality.
  • Ability to work independently, find solutions to problems, interact directly with customers while always maintaining a positive impression of the Company.
  • Must read, write, and understand English.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
