DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives,
locates, and transfers materials accurately and in a timely manner.
- Use
an RF device and/or computer to scan barcodes.
- Counts
and weighs materials and records information.
- Identifies
damaged materials and records material shortages.
- Loads
and unloads materials onto and from a variety of containers including but not
limited to trucks, conveyors, racks, pallets, and/or trays; utilizes
appropriate tools to accomplish tasks.
- Transports
incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing hand truck,
- Stacks
and assembles materials.
- Maintains
a safe, clean working environment.
- Participates
in quality improvement efforts.
- Performs
other duties as assigned by manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- To
perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each

to two years related experience or equivalent.
- Familiarity
with shipping practices and handling methods.
- Ability
to work with minimal supervision.

PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS:
- While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do
the following:
- Lift
and move a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance.
- Climb
a 2 or 3 step ladder.
- Stand
and walk on concrete for 8 to 10 hours.
- Wear
appropriate safety equipment.
WORK
ENVIRONMENT:
A
large percentage of work time is spent in a warehouse where temperatures are
cool or hot and noise level can be moderate.
