FT - Warehouse Associate

Department: Warehouse/Receiving

SUMMARY: Performs a combination of tasks including but not limited to receiving, picking, shipping, and inspecting orders accurately and in a timely manner; efficiently and safely loads, unloads, and conveys materials.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives, locates, and transfers materials accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Use an RF device and/or computer to scan barcodes.
  • Counts and weighs materials and records information.
  • Identifies damaged materials and records material shortages.
  • Loads and unloads materials onto and from a variety of containers including but not limited to trucks, conveyors, racks, pallets, and/or trays; utilizes appropriate tools to accomplish tasks.
  • Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing hand truck,
  • Stacks and assembles materials.
  • Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
  • Participates in quality improvement efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One to two years related experience or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
  • Lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Climb a 2 or 3 step ladder.
  • Stand and walk on concrete for 8 to 10 hours.
  • Wear appropriate safety equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

A large percentage of work time is spent in a warehouse where temperatures are cool or hot and noise level can be moderate.
