Job Description


First Tactical is looking for a skilled and experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team! As a Human Resources Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting our HR department in the development and execution of HR strategy, policies, and objectives.

HR Specialist Job Responsibilities:

    • Managing all HR procedures 
    • Identifying company’s hiring needs and managing the recruitment process, which includes coordinating job posts, reviewing resumes, and performing reference checks. 
    • Providing information to employees regarding benefits, insurance, and retirement plan. 
    • Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating.
    • Managing all employee data in HRIS Updating employee records 
    • Developing and evaluating onboarding plans 
    • Providing support for employee administration and processing issues 
    • Ensuring compliance with all legal requirements 
    • Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees 
    • Ensuring new hire paperwork is completed and processed. 
    • Conduct orientation of new employees and handle employee concerns by liaising between the management and staff of an organization 
    • Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status 
    • Addressing any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations.
    • Processing all personnel action forms and ensuring proper approval
    • Plan quarterly and annual performance review sessions.
    • Develop and implement HR policies throughout the organization.
    • Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner.Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislation.
    • Other duties assigned.

    Preferred Qualifications:

      • PHR, SPHR or payroll specific certification, preferred. 
      • Master’s degree in human resource management or related field, preferred. 
      • 3+ years of experience as an HR Specialist 
      • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Applications 
      • Superior attention to detail Proven track record of maintaining employee confidentiality. 
      • Expert with various HRIS applications Strong organizational skills 
      • Excellent time management skill Ability to work well in a team environment. 
      • Experience with payroll systems Able to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
